Our Story
Three Generations. One Standard.
Most paint stores are just shelves and a cash register. Cape Color World is a family. The Morris family built this business on one idea that hasn't changed: sell the best, know your stuff, and treat people right. Three generations later, the handshake still means something here.
Paul Morris
Paul built Cape Color World from the ground up with a simple conviction: the community deserved a paint store that wouldn't sell them junk. He learned every product inside and out, because if a customer was going to trust him, he'd better deserve that trust. He set the standard that still runs through every can on our shelves.
David Morris
David grew up in the store. He didn't just learn the business — he expanded it. He built the contractor relationships, brought in industrial coatings, and made Cape Color World the go-to for professionals who needed a supplier they could count on. He proved that doing things right wasn't just good ethics — it was good business.
Josh Morris
Josh carries forward everything his grandfather and father built, with the energy to push it into what's next. Same quality. Same honesty. Same guarantee. He's not here to change what works — he's here to make sure Cape Girardeau always has a paint store that gives a damn.
Expertise You Can Trust
Our team has training and real-world experience to handle any color-matching situation. We'll come to your job site for technical advice or material estimation — because getting it right matters more than getting the sale.
We Only Carry The Best
We don't sell paint we wouldn't use in our own homes. Every product on our shelf has earned its place. When we say "good paint," we mean it — from our top line all the way down.
Personal Attention
You're not a transaction here. Whether you're a contractor on a month-long project or a first-timer picking a bedroom color, you get the same respect, the same patience, and the same honest advice.
